They could have just connected the two lights and it would have looked 10x better. If they really wanted the two extra lights, not connecting them to the grille would have looked better.

Exactly! When the W212 came out people thought it was too controversial, so they softened the lines in the facelift, ultimately ruining the handsome looks of the early cars. :/

That’s one ugly facelift. The old had quite good looking front end. I wonder what happened to the rear part.

Skoda didn’t change one bit except for new graphics on the taillights.

The new Superb is their best looking car, although I will agree that this is a setback for the Octavia.

I’m biased but think the Superb Mk3 is the best looking Skoda.
Regrettably there have also been spy shots of a facelifted Superb.

I really like the whole Skoda lineup at the moment, I just hope that they won’t mess up neither the Superb nor the Fabia.

I know it looks fantastic. Every morning when I leave work at 6am I walk up the steps and see the DRLs light up in front of me.
It’s the new design language brought in with the new Kodiaq apparently.

I think it’s the new design language brought in with the new Kodiaq.
It’s hard to believe they want to facelift a Superb, which looks so great, so soon after it’s release to the public (it was only released 13 months ago in the U.K.).

The Kodiaq isn’t actually too bad in my opinion, maybe except for the headlights.
The Superb is so good looking it’s almost impossible to make it look any better. Let’s hope for a subtle update with smaller changes.

I love the Kodiaq. It’s essentially a Superb on steroids but the for lamps should be lower down inside the lower valance and not made into the bumper.
The headlamps on the Superb look like they were taken from a SEAT and I love them but I can’t see how they could Octavia facelift or Kodiaq facelift the Superb.
I guess time will tell.
I’ve two more years or so before considering Piglet’s replacement.

I don’t hate it. Not sure about the quad headlight treatment, but I like the overall crispness. I wish they would have done something like the new Kodiaq with the lights.

I really like the design of the whole Skoda lineup, their designs are the best of all VAG brands tbh. I just hope they won’t mess up the rest of their cars with this quad headlight setup.
My tinfoil hat theory is that VW forced Skoda designers into making their successful cars ugly starting with the Octavia.
